Sanctuary

The city of Eranov can no longer feed its population. The Order of Erana have made plans to evacuate a portion of the population to the deep south of Mordavia. Now the dykes around Eranov have mysteriously been damaged. Fearing that the entire city may be at risk, the Order is moving with haste to find a new home for the people.

The intended destination is the elven land of Elendar, which has not yet been touched by the swamp. With Mordavia falling and the growth of the swamp the people are in low spirits but in Elendar there seems to be a silent calm, like the breath before a deep plunge or the calm before a storm, and news is spreading of a happy occasion.

Prince Brutus, half-elven son of the King of Mordavia and former lord of Eranov, has re-emerged and has announced that he is to be married. His royal wedding will take place in Elendar and news quickly spreads that all are invited and that there will be a celebration with food being distributed to anyone who attends. Is it possible that for one night the people of Mordavia can celebrate in the midst of the struggle to save their home?
