Something is awry in Ventura Bay...

For years, the city has withstood the ravages of time, evolving from pirate hideaway to formidable trade power. Ventura has led the Free Cities in their independence from the greater realms, but now, the powers within the city are turning to outsiders for aid.

Her Serenity, the Doge of Ventura has been slain. Unrest wracks the city’s streets as the old order is weakened. Religious tensions are rising amongst the populace, and members of the High Council are deadlocked in political struggles. Tradition dictates that a new Doge must be elected during the Festival of Masks - a masquerade ball which honours Hastur, God of the Crossroads. For the first time in decades, the High Council has opened invitations to all Ventura’s trade partners.

In Corinium, these invitations reach the Loyalist leadership, many of whom have their own reasons for wanting to visit the city. To the Loyalist oracles, the auspices are clear - their fates will be decided in the City of Silver.

This is the second weekend event in the Exile LARP campaign. There will be places for 45 players (15 per faction), and 30 crew. Returning players will take preference and ticket sales for them open on Monday 26th of February. Ticket sales for new players open on Monday the 12th of March, however, there is currently a waiting list. Please email us to be placed on it. Crew tickets are on sale from the 26th as well, and there is an early bird price for those who purchase in the first month. All tickets are first come first served and will be sold via Eventbrite.

The event will begin on Friday 11th of May at 7pm and will run through the weekend until Sunday 13th of May at 4pm. It is being held at Camp Morley, Clarks Beach, Manukau.

The Exile GM team reserves the right to refuse your participation in this event for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Behaviour at other events (including online) that contravenes the nzLARPS Code of Conduct, and/or causes other Exile participants unease, discomfort or alarm.
  • Behaviour at other events (including online) that lead the GM team to believe that participant will not behave in line with Exile community and artistic values, including negative game play style, bullying or trolling, unsafe combat or role playing practices, or any other behaviour we deem detrimental to the project.
  • Lack of communication with the GM team.
  • If the GM team and participant cannot reach a compromise on creative differences.
  • Annoying the GM team so much that we don't want to spend any more time on you (we're volunteers, after all).
  • Bringing the game or larp community into disrepute.

All solo participants must be 16 years of age or older. Minors may be allowed at the GM Team's discretion, however they must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian at all times during the event.
