Despite recent events, the Governor is keen to maintain a sense of normality in the town. Although still disconnected from its other half, the annual Valentine’s Day Barn Dance is going ahead in Rift-side Consequence, with the addition of a pot-luck feast to allow those from different walks of life to come together and share a meal. Oh, and there’s also a prize for the most popular dish! Dishes can be sweet or savoury! And of course, who could forget Molly Malone’s wonderful cooking also on offer.

It is customary on Valentine’s Day to make a small gift to show your appreciation to another. This token of affection doesn’t necessarily mean it is romantic, but rather a gesture of fondness.

And what a treat, for once the Governor herself will be in attendance and will be awarding the creator of the most popular dish with their prize.

This is a social event, with no plot intended to be sent out. There are no weapons allowed as this is a public venue, and no abilities are to be used at the event by characters.

Chilli dogs/hot dogs and punch will be available to everyone (including those with dietary considerations,) however anyone who wishes to make something prior or during the game on the BBQ/fire pit to contribute as part of the in-game cook-off is more than welcome to do so!

Staglands closes to the general public at 5pm. We have the barn from 5pm, and we ask attendees to show up by 5pm to help with brief setup, and we will start the event at 6pm. The event will conclude at 11pm for packup. (Check with Staglands the procedure for people showing up)

We encourage you to experience Staglands prior to the event, as this will not be available after 5pm. Admission to the park $24 for a single adult, and is not included in our event price. Group rates can be found on their website. It's not a requirement, but it is lovely, just bring sensible shoes!
