Finally, the Emerald Isle is ripe to be retaken by the Loyalist forces. Queen Claudia Braidenburg has received word from Niamh, the arch-fae who was released from Maeve's vault beneath Ventura Bay. She has reclaimed her demesne upon the Isle which boasts a good harbour and fortifications. She is confident that, with assistance, she can pacify the hostile factions.

Of more dire note, is the warning of the arch-fae Oberon. Red Avalonian forces roam the Isle in strength, and are seeking the grove of the Elder Tree - the holiest and most powerful of Fae sites. Oberon states that it is in the interests of all that the Loyalists lay claim to the grove before their enemies do.

By apparent happenstance, Ghassan, First Sword of the Tribes, has sent forth the armies of the Free Tribes to take the Emerald Isle, seeking a place called “The Forge of the Gods”. He has promised marginal cooperation with the Loyalist forces so long as they yield the occupation and looting of this forge to “The True Heirs of the Empire”. Spymaster reports indicate that they have seen heavy conflict with the orange djinn of Forzia during their landing, and that the forces of the Burning Sands are a very present threat here as well, as are the djinn-marked Fae who serve them.

Into this perilous but promising situation, the Loyalists plunge... however, when they first set foot upon the Isle itself, all those who bear the abilities foretelling magic (be they God-Touched, Oracles or Dreamers) cry out with one voice:

"The Nameless One lies dreaming in the sunken city of stars.
Yet his shadow moves across the surface of the deep.
Woe betide those who witness her wakening.
For these witnesses will be Heralds of Woe unto the world.

For I saw the Heralds spewing foul prophecy and madness from their mouths.
I beheld the foulness of their truth and it turned me.
Enlightenment can only be found in the blackest of nights.
Redemption, by those who grasp at insanity to see the light.

Beware the wordless ones and their mad mistress.
Beware the plight of the pale demons lest you join them in their feast.
The strength of the ageless will be turned against your own.
The curse of ages can only be undone by restitching the shadow.

Upon the hilltop temple will he rest, sloughing the cocoon of her hibernation.
Transfiguration… the goal of any priest, will come too soon and not be welcome.
Yet the Nameless One MUST BE NAMED. THE MUTE MUST SPEAK.
THE EMPRESS WHO HAS BECOME A SLAVE MUST BE BROKEN AND FREED.
AND THE TREE MUST YIELD ITS POISON OR SEE FLAME.

BEHOLD I SAY UNTO YOU - THE PROXY WAR DRAWS TO A CLOSE.
THE FOUR SIT IN JUDGEMENT OF THE SEVEN, AND THE THREE OF THE FOUR.
THE ANCIENTS RETURN, AS IS THEIR DUE, BUT THE EVIL THEY MARRIED RETURNS WITH THEM.
THE SKY IS BROKEN. IT WEEPS BLACK TEARS.

WE WILL MISS THE COLD.
WE WILL MISS THE COLD.
WE WILL MISS THE COLD WHEN ALL IS DARKNESS."
