Og, the comedy caveman role-playing game, now a LARP!

Play a caveman with a severely limited vocubulary! This is a simple LARP, with a medium to low combat rating. Try to communicate with the other players to solve problems, or to create problems for the other tribe... If this is successful, we will hold further games using the same rule system. This should be a fun, light-hearted game with everyone winners. We need at least 10 players, and up to 40. There will be a few crew places or 'scripted' characters to play, for interested players - please contact the GM is you wish to try playing one of these roles (eg: tribe chief, tribe medicine-man, wife of chief, and the infamous 'Big Smelly'). You will need to produce your own costume and equipment, but that should not pose too great a problem given the simplicity of what is required.

• Rules:

• Time:
  We will meet to start the game at 4pm on Sunday 5th March. We expect to leave Piha by 8pm, after a 3-hour game.
• Venue:
  We will be playing in Piha, meeting at the north beach carpark. Drive into Piha towards Lion Rock, and follow the road parallel to the beach until the very end where there is a carpark.
• Getting There:
  You can of course drive yourself there, and it really is easy to find. Alternatively, we hope to be organising a minibus to pick people up about 2pm on the day from Auckland, at a cost-covering charge of $5 return. Please book in advance be emailing steve@steveshipway.org. Pickup from south, central and western Auckland. (To be confirmed if we have sufficient bookings)
• Equipment:
  You will need to make your own costume and gear. Details for this can be found in the NZLARPS forums on Diatribe. Simple skins, coconuts, leaves and sticks for clothing (recommend you wear a bathing costume underneath). No shoes required - we're playing on sand - and weapons should be short or long clubs, or 'rocks' (see the rules, and the online forum, for details). You are also recommended to bring a coconut shell as a bowl/cup.
  There may be some items available for hire, check the forums.
  Note that any anachronistic items should be left in your car, or at the back of the cave. You should bring snacks and sufficient drinking water.
